Ignite Student Ministry

Ignite Student Ministry

We serve to prepare your young person for this journey we call life. Taking a stand can be scary if you are unprepared, but when you know who you are in Christ you will reach your destination successfully. Our goal is to help lay the biblical foundation that will transform the life of your junior high or high school youth. This transformation is evident as they learn to apply biblical truth to everyday life as a teenager that carries on to college and adulthood. We have a wonderful team that works hard to present lively, fun and transformational activities for our junior high youth ages 13-15 and high schoolers ages 16-18. God is up to something good in this ministry… just look at the various opportunities for your teen to develop a deeper relationship with Christ.

Don’t miss this opportunity to transform your child into a impactful follower of Christ!

The Ignite! Show

The Ignite Show is a teen summit of students ages 13-18 to talk about the world issues but with a Biblical foundation. Students have the opportunity to state their opinion and express their feelings on how they feel students should handle major decisions. Finally, our Panel of Wisdom will give the final answer as it pertains to the world of God with direction of the Holy Spirit. We encourage all students to take advantage of the fellowship, food, and fun.

The Vision of Ignite! Student Ministry

Our Benchmarks

Our Senior Pastor, Clarence C. Moore is a strong advocate for education.  He believes that all students of New Era Church should meet a group of benchmarks before they leave for college.  These benchmarks are the following:

Spiritual Growth

We challenge students to grow spiritually by attending Emerge, the H.E.A.T. Ignite Show, and the Enrichment Hour.  Our new curriculum called XP3 has a parent component that encourages parents to engage their child in biblical study at home.  If a students grows spiritually then they are better prepared  to face the world.

Service and Outreach

New Era believes that students should give to those who are less fortunate and in need.  The H.E.A.T. team will provide many opportunities during the year for students to get involved.  We recommend that students also get involved in assisting with New Era’s Feed My Sheep program.  We visit homeless shelters where we minister and feed the hungry.

Leadership

Leaders of the future is what we are preparing our students to be.  There are multiple training programs like Center for Leadership Development, Beautillion and Cotillion, Kids Across America-Higher Ground Program, and Top Teens of America.  The opportunities that we provide and suggest would make any college resume/application stand out before others.  Parents are encouraged to help your student get prepared for college and to lead the job market.

Fun and Fellowship

The Ignite! Adult Team believes that is very important to make memories by fellowships and having fun with their peers.  We are always looking for ways to incorporate fun into all activities.  Most fun activities are selected by the students.  Bowling, movies, games, laser tag, Minute to Win it, SkyZone are just to name a few.
